We Get Involved Early And Act Quickly

We understand that each day someone remains absent or disabled from the workplace, there are significant and measurable consequences to the physical, emotional and financial health of your employee and organization. We recognize the signs of potential absences and disabilities and act on them early. In most cases this means on, or even before the first day of absence. Where an employee's health does not allow for an imminent return to work, we monitor the absence, so when medically appropriate, we can assist the employee through a smooth and timely transition back to the workplace.

We Are Objective

We understand there are many reasons behind absence in the workplace. We work with your organization to determine the most appropriate course of action for each situation, and provide case handling and recommendations. We provide objective recommendations as we are not affected by subjective views formed by employment affiliation and do not have a direct relationship with the absent employee. core values is an independent firm, and derives no financial gain by recommending or employing any member of our provider network. Nor do we benefit or profit from recommendations or actions around claim decisions.

We Provide Consistent Recommendations

We are consistent in our case-handling philosophy and approach. In order to avoid any missed opportunities, we can review every absence to ensure organization-wide consistency.

The full understanding, cooperation, and candid communication of every team member is essential to the success of each case. Our team includes your organization's team of dedicated internal resources, the absent employee and their physician(s). Should additional external resources be required to complete the team, professionals from our independent provider network can be recommended.

Our professional experiences prove most employees possess some form of rehabilitation potential when absent because of disability. In these cases, we place significant emphasis on research and development of a program balancing consistency and flexibility, taking into account the individual's functional abilities, training, education, experience and interests, combined with the workplace situation.

In these circumstances, we contact and brief the appropriate internal resource, providing intervention and early identification of cases that previously might have become long-term absences or difficult labour relations cases.
